Join us at Lock & Co. for an evening of live Country music and bourbon tasting – a celebration of the best of America at an exclusive event right here in St. James’s Street, London.
Lock & Co. Hatters are very proud to be sponsoring Royal South’s 2019 UK tour. In association with our friends at Berry Bros. & Rudd, Royal South will be playing an acoustic, intimate set in the shop for a few lucky guests - who will also experience a pre-show bourbon tasting session, and then enjoy Old Fashioneds served during the performance.
Royal South are one of the most exciting and talented Country bands in the world. When the USA trio featuring SaraBeth, Glen Mitchell and Vickie Vaughn take the stage, there’s an energy that their audiences can’t deny. Individual artists in their own right, with chart topping songs, Grand Ole Opry performances, industry awards, a fiercely loyal social media following and world tours between them, Royal South is the perfect storm for the creation of a Nashville powerhouse. Produced by Paul Worley, the man behind the Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, The Band Perry and many more, you can expect a high energy show, cleverly written songs and incredible harmonies. Their debut single “Cry, Cry” reached nearly 1 million streams, and topped the UK iTunes Country chart.
Berry Bros. & Rudd are Britain’s original wine and spirit merchant, established in 1698. Their flagship store has been located at No.3 St James’s Street since 1689. From 1836-45, the Republic of Texas and Great Britain pursued diplomatic and military relations, and Texas opened a legation on their site in 1842. Berry Bros. & Rudd celebrate their Texan connection through the sale of their gorgeously enticing Texas Legation Batch No. 2, Texas Bourbon Whiskey, which will be served on the evening straight for tasting, and as Old Fashioneds into the night.
Established in 1676, almost exactly 100 years before the foundation of the United States of America, Lock & Co. is the oldest hat shop in the world and one of the oldest family-owned businesses still in existence. Revered for our centuries-honed craftsmanship, our innovative designs have graced the heads of some of the greatest figures in history. We are honoured to have hatted many famous Americans, including Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jackie Onassis, Douglas Fairbanks Jr. – even The Fonz!
This will be the first time any musician has played a live gig in the shop, and places will be extremely limited. Tickets are on sale now through the shop on 0207 930 8874 or via the website www.lockhatters.co.uk/events priced at £20, including the tasting session, an opportunity to meet the band and tour the shop.
